Financial Field Analyst – Long Term Care (Posted May 9, 2011)

JOIN COLORADO’s WINNING TEAM! Piñon Management is seeking a dynamic, experienced long term care Financial Field Analyst to provide professional consulting to the long term care homes for which we manage outside the metro Denver area. This position will assume responsibility for financial consulting to nursing home business office and management personnel and performs internal audit services for client facilities.

Responsibilities include accounts receivable, cash review, resident trust, PETI, and other account reconciliation, internal audits, identifying and tracking issues, training Business Office Managers and financial personnel, and assumption of business office duties in their absence with AR/AP and/or Payroll functions.

Qualifications for the position include:

Long Term Care experience in Accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience and nursing home business-office experience required.

Successful long term care experience, particularly in the areas of Medicare, Medicaid, and private patient billing and collections required (Regional / Corporate level a plus!).

Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll applications.
Knowledge of general ledger accounting desirable.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a client-service environment.
Strong time management, written, oral communication, interpersonal client-service skills, and ability to work independently.
Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications, Medicare and Medicaid billing laws and regulations and related software applications, including CARE, Medicare THIN system, and the Colorado Web Portal.
Ability to travel out of the Denver metro area and possession of a valid driver’s license.
