Nutritional Quality Improvement Specialist (Posted June 3, 2010)

Piñon Management is seeking a Nutritional Quality Improvement Specialist to provide professional nutritional consulting services to our managed facilities and consulting contracts. 

The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate resident nutritional needs, resident care and facility practice, provide recommendations in these areas and assist facilities with implementing recommendations in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.   

Qualifications for the position are:

  • Active Registered Dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and ability to meet on-going continuing education requirements as established by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Must have a minimum of three years experience as a dietitian in the health care field with long-term care experience
  • Must have experience with TPN monitoring and oversight
  • Experience in a management role or in the capacity of a RD health care consultant handling multiple facilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Services, Human Services or related field
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Long Term Care regulations
  • Personal computer skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel within Colorado and out of state

Social Services Quality Improvement Specialist (Posted June 3, 2010)

Piñon Management is seeking a Social Services Quality Improvement Specialist to provide professional social services consulting to the long term care homes for which we manage and consult. 

The primary purpose of this position is to provide ongoing education and mentoring to facility social workers in assessment of residents’ psychosocial, emotional, and psychiatric needs; provide support in developing care plans, and identifying family needs; ensure regulatory compliance with State and Federal regulations; provide behavior management training for facility social services staff. 

Qualifications for the position are:    

  • MSW with Colorado LCSW required
  • Must have a minimum of two years experience as a social worker in long-term care
  • Minimum of one year experience in a management role or in the capacity of a social worker health care consultant responsible for multiple facilities
  • Experience working with the psychiatric population
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Long Term Care regulations including Medicare and Medicaid requirements and regulations
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel within Colorado and out of state

Clinical Reimbursement Specialist, Lakewood, CO (Posted February 19, 2010)

We are currently seeking candidates for our newly created position of Regional Clinical Reimbursement Specialist. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and will provide clinical reimbursement oversight to our managed facilities in Colorado

This position requires someone who is self directed and is able to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will also possess strong management, communication, team building and clinical skills.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Two to four years of long-term care experience in multi facility oversight of clinical reimbursement in Managed Care, Medicare and Medicaid
  • Proven track record of RUGs and case mix management, a must
  • RN Preferred
  • Willingness to travel (company car or car allowance is provided)
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
