Chateau des Mons

Located in a quiet and charming neighborhood in Englewood, Chateau des Mons is a large, chateau-like residential home specializing in Alzheimer’s and dementia care within a secure and comfortable environment. Residents are surrounded by an attentive and energetic staff and the facility is close to both Swedish and Porter Hospitals. Chateau shares a “progressive care” campus with Julia Temple, allowing residents to “age in place” with familiar friends and caregivers.

Persons Served Include: Ambulatory elders 55 and older with a diagnosis of early Alzheimer’s or dementia, Respite care

Specialized Services: RN assistance available 24 hours/day; Assistance with dressing, bathing and grooming; Medication administration by qualified medical administration persons; Incontinence assistance; Behavioral care

Enhanced Care Services: Family support groups; Transportation to planned activities; Laundry and housekeeping services; Specialized activity programming; Family and resident councils; Beauty and barber services; Physician house visits – including podiatry

Size and Location: Chateau des Mons has 40 licensed beds and is located in Englewood, minutes away from Swedish and Porter hospitals.

At Chateau des Mons, constructive activity is always a priority. Residents enjoy a variety of things to do including participating in the Snack Program where they assist in preparing the daily snack for their fellow residents. Residents also enjoy around-the-clock access to the kitchen.

Residents and families are encouraged to decorate their rooms with personal belongings. Familiarity has proven to be therapeutic to Alzheimer’s patients. Resident-selected theme décor in common areas helps residents with independence and environmental familiarity.

Activities are a big part of the day at Chateau. Programming is varied to ensure all residents have a choice in their activities on a daily basis. Often activities are conducted out in the community with restaurant outings, shopping trips, and visits to the Butterfly Pavilion, Denver Botanical Gardens and IMAX theater!

Chateau features a secured outside patio that ensures the safety of our residents while they are enjoying the fresh air and those 300+ days of Colorado sunshine. Our gardening and horticultural programs are fun and engaging.
