Julia Temple has been recognized in the community for innovation and excellence in Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Our home is a secured “care community” with five distinct “neighborhoods” designed to accommodate the progressive needs of individuals as they journey through the various stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia. Julia Temple is located in a quiet and charming neighborhood where we share a campus with Chateau des Mons Assisted Living. This “age in place” campus allows for interaction during activities and special events.

New and Innovative Approaches to Care: Warm Welcome and First Impression Programs for newcomers; A “neighborhood” concept catering to the varying psycho-social needs of individuals as they progress through the Alzheimer’s/dementia process; It’s Never 2 Late program (resident computer access and training)

Rehabilitation: Rehabilitation is contracted through RehabCare in conjunction with WellCARE, Piñon’s holistic rehabilitation and life transitions program.

Size and Location: Julia Temple shares an “age in place” campus with Chateau des Mons Assisted Living. Julia Temple is centrally located in Englewood, minutes away from Swedish and Porter hospitals.

At Julia Temple, we believe that dining is a great time for our elders to socialize; therefore, we provide an open-dining experience that can be shared with the elders at Chateau des Mons. Coffee hour—with coffee, danishes, and donuts—starts early in the morning for those early risers! There is also another social gathering time just before lunch which provides refreshments and a salad bar!

Residents and families are encouraged to decorate rooms with personal belongings to create a home-like and familiar environment! This practice has proven to be therapeutic for those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

At Julia Temple, our caregivers participate in many activities designed to stimulate the mind and spirit! This allows for relationship development and a sense of community! Residents are also encouraged to participate in familiar hobbies and lifestyle patterns.

Our beautiful tree-lined courtyard is a wonderful place to relax in the shade on one of our gorgeous Colorado days! Access to the courtyard gives an open feeling to our campus. Elders and their guests are encouraged to enjoy this quiet space for parties, picnics and reflection.
