North Star Rehabilitation and Care Community

North Star is a west-Denver long-term care facility meeting the needs of a community ranging from age 22 to 103 and including persons challenged with chronic mental illness, Multiple Sclerosis, and 24-hour nursing needs. A number of our caregivers are bilingual. Like- home features such as the café, resident laundry room, general store and flexible dining options contribute to the neighborhood feeling at North Star.

Overview: North Star is a 85–bed facility located just west of Federal Boulevard on West Arkansas Avenue. Arkansas Avenue is south of Alameda and north of Highway 285. We serve geriatrics, young adults, Multiple Sclerosis, non-wandering dementia, orthopedic rehabilitation, mental health, 27-10 certified, neurological disorders, wound care, hospice care and respite care.

Specialized Clinical Services: 24-hour nursing care; Physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapies; Trach care; Tube feeding; IV therapy; Wound care; Restorative therapy; Pain management

Enhanced Care Services: Resident and family councils; Laundry and housekeeping services; Behavioral programming; Orion MS programming; Alternative methods of nutrition; Community outings; Life Skill Groups; In-house pet program
