To escape the rain on a cloudy Colorado afternoon, resident community members traveled to Dave & Busters arcade as part of a spontaneous community outing. Residents played shoot'em up, high-speed-motorcycle chase, the gift crane, and an amalgam of other fun games.

Music Making is relaxing at Parkview ParkView Care Center has begun a weekly music-making group on Thursday mornings. In addition to playing drums, maracas, tambourines, shakers and a small collection of African instruments, residents also take part in relaxation and meditative therapy during the group, including stretching, visualization and breathing techniques that help heal and rejuvenate our resident community members on an emotional, physical and spiritual level.

"La Fiesta" ParkView Care Center hosted a "La Fiesta"-- one of the many neighborhood gatherings celebrating community and fellowship. Outside community members joined us in eating chips, guacamole and salsa--all homemade--and drinking delicious margaritas, wine and soda. Parkview Care Center's residents provided music and dancing entertainment for the event.

Be More “Safe Alternatives” is in full swing and we are having excellent attendance at our special programming.  Residents are taking an active role in seeking leisure activities to combat the desire to drink or use illegal substances.  Our residents have a new passion to bowl!  A group of residents went on an outing to “Brunswick Zone” and really enjoyed themselves.  The residents at ParkView are active Wii bowlers but did not think they would be able to bowl in an actual bowling alley; they were pleasantly surprised to utilize adaptive equipment to bowl.
